Teen Driver's Education Classes

Before your teen hits the road, they need a strong foundation of safe driving skills and supervised driving experience. That's why, at LIVINGSTON DRIVING, we offer a variety of specialized driver's education courses designed with the needs of young drivers in mind. If you're looking for comprehensive driver's ed classes from skilled instructors, you've come to the right place. Schedule a class today! If you have any questions regarding the new requirements, you may contact the Office of Motor Vehicles at (225) 925-6146.

Temporary Instructional Permits (TIP)

A TIP is a class "E" credential that will indicate "Temporary Instruction Permit"  All students enrolled in a driver's education or pre-licensing course must present a TIP and keep it in possession throughout in-car instruction and during the road test.

Upon completion of driver's education, the TIP will be surrendered to OMV along with proof of completion of the appropriate driver's education course and any other necessary documents. There is no additional cost to convert from the TIP to a Learner's Permit for a minor.

Post-Class Instruction

While our goal is to help young people stay safe on the road, ongoing practice is necessary to achieve this. Once students have completed our course, parents are responsible for riding alongside them for a minimum of 50 hours total, 15 of which must be at night.

Extra Driving Hours are available at $50.00 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours, please call to schedule. 225-667-1509
